Support the Friends of Betty J. Johnson Library
There are many ways to support the Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Public Library and the community it serves. Your financial gifts, book donations, and time all help strengthen library programs, expand access to resources, and create opportunities for people of all ages.

Every Contribution Matters
There’s no single way to support the library. Give. Donate items to the Bookstore. Preserve history. Volunteer. However you choose to get involved, your support helps the Friends continue building a stronger library and a more connected community.
Donate to the Friends
Support the Friends of the Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Public Library with a financial contribution. Donations help the Friends continue their work supporting library programs, special projects, events, and other needs that enhance the library and its impact in the community.

Donate to the Bookstore
Your donations help keep the Friends Bookstore filled with books and unique finds while supporting the Friends and their work on behalf of the library.

The Bookstore welcomes new or gently used jewelry, textiles, art, handmade objects, home goods, music, media, and other special treasures. Global, unique, unusual, and artistic items are especially welcome! These items may be dropped off at the Bookstore during regular hours.

Book donations are accepted separately by library staff at the library counter. The library welcomes fiction published within the last 10 years, as well as nonfiction of any age that is interesting, timeless, or relevant.

For additional information about donating books and other library materials, please review Sarasota County Libraries’ Materials Donation Guidelines.
