Come and Enjoy

The theme for this community event is, "Remembering our Past and Shaping our Future."  AACRC and ASALH® are thrilled to share the experiences that Erik Denson, lead instructor with Diving with a Purpose (DWP) and experienced divers, including youths, had when searching for the Slave Ship Guerrero and identifying the Tuskegee Airmen P-39 aircraft.  Both artifacts represent two huge historic and significant events in Black History. "We want to share these exceptional Black History searches with the local community.” said, Ms. Lois B. Wilkins, Chair of African American Cultural Resource Center (AACRC).
