Friends Bookstore

Come visit the magical transformation of the Friends Bookstore in our library’s
lobby!

The addition of hand-made, newly purchased and gently used donations of ART,
JEWELRY, DECOR & GIFTS has been added to our wide-array of books and
CDs. We celebrate our cultural, creative, exciting and irresistible items!

Why support Us?

The non-profit Friends of the Library raise money for library programs and
activities. Every purchase made in the Friends Bookstore increases our
contribution to the library we truly love.

Donations

Donations make our world go round!
Awesome new or gently used JEWELRY, TEXTILES, ART, HAND-MADE
OBJECTS D’ARTE, HOME GOODS, MUSIC and MEDIA may be dropped off at
the Bookstore any time. We are excited by global, unique, unusual, and artistic
items that fly out of our shop!

Book donations are received by the library staff at their counter. We accept
fiction less than ten years old and non-fiction of any age that is interesting,
timeless or relevant. See Materials Donation Guidelines” on the Sarasota County

Fundraising Events

Our annual ART, JEWELRY & DECOR HOLIDAY SALE is scheduled in early
November. Our selection is curated and of high quality at a 50-75% discount.
You can purchase great gifts while contributing to library community programs
simultaneously!

Book Sales

Book sales are happening year round. Select books with colored stickers are
half price. Take half off a $3 novel and leave with an armful!

VOLUNTEER!

We have a wonderful, diverse volunteer staff that works in two-hour shifts. The
staff is warm, welcoming and always helpful!
